Join us on Zoom:

Join us on Zoom as we explore the newest research tool at College of Marin, Black Life in America. During this hands-on 50-minute session, librarians will introduce you to this database and help you understand how you might use it for your classes in English, history, and many other disciplines from 12:40pm to 1:00pm. Then, we can help with any specific research questions you might have from 1:00pm to 1:30pm. Whether you are researching something that happened yesterday or 300 years ago, this workshop will make you a more powerful researcher. Black Life in America offers articles on the experience and impact of African Americans as recorded by the news media, 1704 to today. From more than 19,000 American and global news sources, including over 400 current and historical Black publications. This session will be recorded and available here in case you miss it.

This event is part of the California Community College's Black Student Success Week, April 26-31, 2021. Check back for links to additional events!
