You're Invited: Join the COM Equity Book Club!
To support College of Marin’s commitment to equity-minded practice, we will be reading Confronting Equity Issues on Campus: Implementing the Equity Scorecard in Theory and Practice during COMmunity Hour in the Library on the Kentfield Campus. We would love to have you participate in the discussion—and you will get a copy of the book for free! This book club is open to faculty, students, staff, and administrators.
Why this book?
From the Introduction:
“When professionals who are committed to doing good become engaged in a carefully structured participatory process of inquiry into their own practices, they are more apt to accept equity as a worthy and viable goal that deserves attention. This book provides the tools that will help leaders and practitioners develop the knowledge and wisdom to do the good for students from racial and ethnic groups who even today continue to be disadvantaged by an education of poor quality, limited resources, and lack of opportunity.” Click here to preview the book.
