Library Textbook Program

The librarians at COM have a solution to help with some of the more expensive textbooks. By partnering with faculty, staff, administrators, and your ASCOM representatives, the Library is now able to offer a lending copy of the proper textbook at no cost to students who enroll in the courses listed below.

Here's How it Works

Simply enroll in one of the courses below and you will be eligible to pick up a copy of the textbook at the beginning of the semester. If you drop the course before the end of the semester, please return the textbook as soon as possible. If you finish the course, you can return the book on or before the last day of the semester. Check this page for dates and locations for picking up and returning textbooks. Terms and conditions apply. If you have any questions or concerns, you may reach our friendly librarians by email at or by telephone at (415) 845-0536.

Returning Spring 2021 LTP Textbooks

It is important that you return your LTP textbook as soon as you drop or complete the course so the library has copies for students taking the course the following semester. Note that all Spring 2021 LTP textbooks are due Friday, May 28, 2021. Please return LTP textbooks to the book drop in Parking Lot 6 on the Kentfield Campus. The book drop is located near Health Services and it’s bright blue. Here is a short video showing the location. If that book drop appears full, we have another book drop near the entrance to Fusselman Hall. That book drop is silver. Both book drops are open 24/7. You can also return your LTP textbook by placing it on the table just outside the entrance to Fusselman Hall on the Kentfield Campus at the times listed below.

  • Through Thursday, May 20: Mon-Thurs, 10am-3pm
  • Monday, May 24 - Friday, 28: 9am to 2pm
  • Saturday, May 29: 12pm to 5pm
  • Tuesday, June 1 – Wednesday, June 2: 9am to 2pm
  • If you need assistance, please call (415) 485-9656 or email

Picking Up Fall 2021 LTP Textbooks

Please check this page in early August for dates and instructions for picking up your Fall 2021 LTP Textbook. We will distribute Fall 2021 LTP textbooks from the main entrance to Fusselman Hall on the Kentfield Campus. We recommend parking in Lot 6, 9, or 3. If you cannot come to campus on the schedueled dates, you may call or email the Library at or (415) 485-9656 to arrange to have a parent, sibling, spouse, or friend pick up your LTP textbook for you.
