ARE THE RISING COSTS OF TEXTBOOKS GETTING YOU DOWN?

The librarians at COM have a solution to help with some of the more expensive textbooks. By partnering with faculty, staff, administrators, and your ASCOM representatives, the Library is now able to offer a lending copy of the proper textbook at no cost to students who enroll in the courses listed below.

Here's How it Works

Simply enroll in one of the courses below and you will be eligible to pick up a copy of the textbook at the beginning of the semester. If you drop the course before the end of the semester, please return the textbook as soon as possible. If you finish the course, you can return the book on or before the last day of the semester. Check this page for dates and locations for picking up and returning textbooks. Terms and conditions apply. If you have any questions or concerns, you may reach our friendly librarians by email at askalibrarian@marin.edu or by telephone at (415) 845-0536.

Picking Up Fall 2021 LTP Textbooks

Please complete a Library Textbook Program (LTP) Pickup Request & Lending Agreement. Pickups will be available:

  • August 23 – December 17, 2021:
    • Monday - Thursday: 9am to 5pm
    • Friday: 10am to 4pm
  • If you need to pick up materials outside of these dates and times, please call (415) 485-9656 or email LibraryCirc@marin.edu.

Please plan to pick up your textbook from the table just outside the entrance to Fusselman Hall on the Kentfield Campus at the time confirmed via email by the Library staff. We recommend parking in Parking Lot 6, 9, or 3. Click here for a Kentfield Campus Map

Returning LTP Textbooks

All Fall 2021 LTP textbooks are due on Friday, December 17, 2021. It is important that you return your LTP textbook as soon as you drop or complete the course so the library has copies for students taking the course the following semester. Please return LTP textbooks to the book drop in Parking Lot 6 on the Kentfield Campus. The book drop is located near Health Services and it’s bright blue. Here is a short video showing the location. If that book drop appears full, we have another book drop near the entrance to Fusselman Hall. That book drop is silver. Both book drops are open 24/7. You can also return your LTP textbook by placing it on the table just outside the entrance to Fusselman Hall on the Kentfield Campus at the times listed below.

  • August 23 – December 17, 2021:
    • Monday - Thursday: 9am to 5pm
    • Friday: 10am to 4pm
  • If you need to drop off materials outside of these dates and times, please call (415) 485-9656 or email LibraryCirc@marin.edu.
