1:50 to 3:20 pm: Documentary Screening of Jennifer Siebel Newsom's  “Miss Representation”
3:20 to 5:00 pm: Panelist Speakers:

  • Meg Pasquel, Instructor, President of COM Academic Senate
  • Rachel Klein, Instructor, Counselor, Author
  • Melissa Apuya, District Director for Assembly Member Levine at California State Assembly
  • Diana Bishop, Chief of Police, San Rafael (first female in this role) 
  • Juweria Mehtar, Student Leader, Activist, and Community Organizer 
  • Laurel Halvorson, Student Leader, Activist, and Community Organizer 

5:00pm - 5:30pm:  Q&A session

For so long, women’s rights have been long overdue, and it’s time for change! Miss Representation will provide meaningful insight to students, and also educate our community in understanding what it is that we could do to better ourselves, and support our fellow Womxn Community.
