The white affinity space is an ongoing place for white faculty and staff to co-educate ourselves on racism, white supremacy, and the role(s) we as white people play in perpetuating systemic racism, unconsciously as well as consciously. This year we are reading Nikole Hannah-Jones' The 1619 Project as well as Ijeoma Oluo's So You Want to Talk about Race to guide and foster difficult conversations on race, systemic racism, whiteness, and white supremacy.
