ARE THE RISING COSTS OF TEXTBOOKS GETTING YOU DOWN?

The librarians at COM have a solution to help with some of the more expensive textbooks. By partnering with faculty, staff, administrators, and your ASCOM representatives, the Library is now able to offer a lending copy of the proper textbook at no cost to students who enroll in the courses listed below.

Here's How it Works

Simply enroll in one of the courses below and you will be eligible to pick up a copy of the textbook at the beginning of the semester. If you drop the course before the end of the semester, please return the textbook as soon as possible. If you finish the course, you can return the book on or before the last day of the semester. Check this page for dates and locations for picking up and returning textbooks. Terms and conditions apply. If you have any questions or concerns, you may reach the library by email at LibraryCirc@marin.edu or by telephone at (415) 485-9656.

Picking Up LTP Textbooks

Please complete the online Library Textbook Program (LTP) Lending Agreement. Pickups are at the library front desk in Fusselman Hall:

  • 2024 Fall semester:
    • August 19 - December 13, 2024:
      • Monday - Thursday: 8am to 8pm
      • Friday: 8am to 2pm
  • 2025 Spring semester:
    • Pickups will begin in mid-January. Please check back for dates and times.

If you need to pick up materials outside of these dates and times or at IVC, please call (415) 485-9656 or email LibraryCirc@marin.edu. Fusselman Hall is located in the center of the Kentfield Campus. We recommend parking in Lot 6, 9, or 3. Click here for a Kentfield Campus Map.

Returning LTP Textbooks

Please return your LTP textbook to one of the library book drops. We have two book drops on the Kentfield Campus: A bright blue book drop in Parking Lot 6 near Health Services (HS). If that book drop appears full, we have another book drop near the entrance to Fusselman Hall (FH). That book drop is silver. There is a book drop outside Building 27 on the Indian Valley Campus. All book drops are open 24/7. Click here for campus maps.
