ARE THE RISING COSTS OF TEXTBOOKS GETTING YOU DOWN?

The librarians at COM have a solution to help with some of the more expensive textbooks. By partnering with faculty, staff, administrators, and your ASCOM representatives, the Library is now able to offer a lending copy of the proper textbook at no cost to students who enroll in the courses listed below.

Here's How it Works

Enroll in one of the courses below, and you will be eligible to pick up a copy of the textbook at the beginning of the semester. If you drop the course before the end of the semester, please return the textbook as soon as possible. If you finish the course, you can return the book on or before the last day of the semester. Check this page for dates and locations for picking up and returning textbooks. Terms and conditions apply. If you have any questions or concerns, please call (415) 485-9656 or email at [email protected].

Picking Up LTP Textbooks

  • A librarian will visit our classroom on the first day to provide a green lending form. If you miss the first day, the course instructor will provide the green lending form:
    • Write your name and student ID (M00 number) on the green lending form and bring it to the library in Fusselman Hall (click here for a campus map):
    • Pick up your LTP textbook in Fusselman 120, on the shelves to the right.
    • Take your textbook and the green lending form to the front desk to check it out.
    • Library Hours January 21 - May 23, 2025:
      • Monday-Thursday: 8 am to 8 pm
      • Friday: 8 am to 2 pm
    • If you need to pick up materials outside these dates and times, please call (415) 485-9656 or email [email protected].

Returning LTP Textbooks

Please return your textbook by Friday, May 23, 2025. Return your LTP textbook to the library front desk or one of the library book drops. We have two book drops on the Kentfield Campus: A bright blue book drop in Parking Lot 6 near Health Services (HS). If that book drop appears full, we have another book drop near the entrance to Fusselman Hall (FH). That book drop is silver. There is a book drop outside Building 27 on the Indian Valley Campus. All book drops are open 24/7. Click here for campus maps.
