Join us for an evening with U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón! Ms. Limón will be interviewed on stage by COM English Instructor Stephanie Wells. She will read some of her poems and answer questions from the audience. The event will include a brief selection from Miracle Fish, a drama production inspired by Ms. Limón’s poetry that has been written and performed by the COM Drama Department. College of Marin has been reading poetry by Ada Limón this entire school year! The community is warmly welcome to join us for this culminating celebration of poetry, reading, and nature!

Ada Limón is the author of six poetry books, including The Carrying, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry. Her most recent poetry book, The Hurting Kind, was shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. She is the 24th Poet Laureate of The United States, the recipient of Guggenheim and MacArthur Fellowships in 2020 and 2023, and a 2024 TIME magazine Woman of the Year.
